Details of Basic Insurance/Compensation
Third-Party Personal Liability
Unlimited / per person (including coverage under mandatory automobile liability insurance)
Third-Party Property Liability
Unlimited (based on market value) / per accident (with a deductible of ¥50,000)
Personal Injury Compensation
¥30,000,000 / per person (up to the vehicle’s capacity)
Vehicle Compensation
Market value / per accident (with a deductible of ¥100,000–¥150,000)
Notes:
- Third-Party Personal Liability: Covers compensation for death of others.
- Third-Party Property Liability: Covers compensation for damage to others’ vehicles or property.
- Vehicle Compensation: Covers repair costs for the rented vehicle (your contracted vehicle).
- Personal Injury Compensation: Covers medical expenses, etc., for death or injury of the driver or passengers of the contracted vehicle.
- Deductible: The amount the customer is responsible for paying in the event of an accident.
- Damages exceeding the aforementioned deductible or compensation limits will be borne by the customer.
B-Safety Package（Basic Compensation + Wide Compensation + NOC Compensation）
Plan A + Deductible Waiver + Non-Operation Charge (NOC) Waiver
This covers the waiver of the deductible and Non-Operation Charge (NOC).
Deductible
¥50,000 for third-party property liability
¥100,000–¥150,000 for vehicle compensation
Non-Operation Charge (NOC)
¥20,000 if the rental car is driven back to the scheduled return location
¥50,000 if the rental car is inoperable or not returned to the scheduled location
Notes:
- Applies only to the first accident.
- For single-vehicle accidents with no other party involved, a deductible of ¥50,000 will apply.
C-Super Safety Package（Basic Compensation + Wide Compensation + NOC Compensation + Single-Vehicle Accident Compensation）
Plan A + B + Coverage for single-vehicle accidents with no other party involved
This covers Plan B + compensation for single-vehicle accidents with no other party involved.
Note:
- Applies only to the first accident.
Insurance/Compensation Coverage Exclusions
The following cases are not covered by the insurance/compensation system:
- If the accident is not reported to the police (no accident certificate)
- If the accident is caused by a driver other than the one specified at the time of departure
- Accidents caused by unlicensed driving
- Accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol
- Accidents occurring due to unauthorized extension of the rental period
- Theft resulting from leaving keys inside the vehicle
- Damages exceeding the aforementioned deductible or compensation limits (borne by the customer)
- Accidents falling under circumstances where insurance benefits cannot be paid as per the insurance policy
- Tire punctures (exempt if Plan B or C is purchased)
- Loss or damage to wheel caps (exempt if Plan B or C is purchased)
- Accidents caused by violations of traffic rules, related laws, or regulations
- Accidents deemed malicious or intentional
- Mixing gasoline and diesel during refueling
- Damage or loss of in-vehicle equipment (excluding damage from accidents)
- Driving with more passengers than the vehicle’s capacity
- Damage or accidents caused by driving off-road or outside designated roadways
- Cases of vehicle contamination (including smoking in non-smoking vehicles)
- Damages incurred due to the renter’s failure to exercise due care as a prudent manager
- Cases where the renter or driver neglects regular vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Other violations of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement
- In the event of total loss of the vehicle, even if Plan B or C is purchased, the maximum compensation will be ¥250,000 (Plan A limit).
Important Notes
In the following cases, the contract will be terminated regardless of the remaining contract period, and no refund of the received rental fees will be provided:
- If a traffic accident occurs, or the rental car is damaged or malfunctioning, due to reasons attributable to the renter or driver
- If the terms and conditions of our company are violated
